Anthony Miller, HR Director
GlaxoSmithKline Cork
We engaged Harmonics to help manage the outplacement programme for in excess of 100 employees.
The Harmonics programme and the team delivering it has without doubt exceeded all expectations in helping people often making career and life changing decisions. Harmonics provided valuable coaching and support to our staff to assist them with securing a new job or in some instances helped define a change in career. Feedback on Harmonics from our employees exiting the business has been outstanding and they certainly deliver on their core principles of collaboration, optimizing potential, nurturing talent, enhancing performance and producing results.
The Harmonics team’s wealth and depth of experience is truly exceptional and the flexibility and professionalism they have shown towards the Company and the employees who engaged with them has been exceptional.
This is one Company that has truly made a significant positive difference in the lives of our employees impacted by our restructuring programme.
John Counihan, Distribution Manager
Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland
We engaged with Harmonics to assist in the outplacement of 143 employees as they came to terms with the news that their “job for life” had come to a disappointing end. We had a workforce ranging in ages between 20 – 60, with service varying between 3 – 42 years, many of whom had only ever worked within Musgrave’s four walls.
Commencing with an introductory session, followed by a Career Directions workshop, CV & Self Marketing session, Interview preparation and supported by a financial 1-1 with Liam Croke and a career guidance 1-1 with Mary T Tierney / Fiachra Driscoll, the comprehensive program noticeably lifted spirits and greatly facilitated the orderly wind down of the site.
The most powerful attribute of the Harmonic’s program was the visible transformation of employees from self perceived victims to fully resourced, confident individuals in charge of their own destinies. Feedback from all employees was immensely positive.
Yann Ricourt, Head of Human Resources
Telefonica O2 Ireland
We are now working with Harmonics for the past four years. Our partnership covers a range of activities from career coaching, outplacement, managing change and helping our employees in their decision making process. Harmonics always spend time to understand our requirements and design solutions that are relevant, appropriate for our culture and more importantly are tailored to the needs of our employees. The feedback we have received from both managers and employees has been outstanding. The follow up that the dedicated coaches will provide in a difficult time has helped greatly in managing the anxiety of impacted employees during change programmes.
Harmonics has facilitated our change management workshops for our managers and that has made a big difference in their ability to lead through change.
I would describe Harmonics as extremely professional, always focused on adding value to the business and the individual, relevant and great to work with.

We went to the market looking for a Supplier whom would work with us to create a bespoke management programme for 27 of our Sales and Marketing Team. We were immediately impressed with how quickly Harmonics understood what we were looking for, which was a practical programme built around a number of competency gaps in conjunction with opportunities for practical learning in a safe environment.
John and his colleagues from the outset took the time to understand our business, its challenges, the skill level within the team and as a result the programme was tailored and pitched at the right level for all participants.
The feedback from all programme participants has been extremely positive and strong, with colleagues really enjoying and benefiting from a programme that combines a classroom style learning environment and 1 to 1 personal coaching.
I can honestly say that the programme has surpassed our expectations. We have really seen the benefits whereby commercial colleagues are working more closely and effectively together.
Marie Connolly, Head of Learning & Development
The University of Limerick.
With tightened budgets and reduced resources the role of managers within the University sector has and is changing dramatically. We sought a Leadership Development Programme that would challenge our managers to look at their contribution to the overall strategic direction of the University. We did not want an off the shelf Management Development Programme but rather a programme that challenged our managers to look at their roles as future leaders of the organisation. To change the mindset from “them” to “we”. The Leadership Development Programme delivered by Harmonics certainly achieved this goal for us by supporting participants to consider who they are, what they stand for and how can they be more effective.
A highly participative programme with a focus on self awareness through the use of 360 degree feedback; Personal Profiling and 1:1 coaching sessions was extremely effective in supporting and challenging the learning and gave this programme a uniqueness to anything we had offered in the past. The feedback from the participants on the Programme was that it provided heightened self awareness; an opportunity to share learning and experiences with colleagues in similar roles and to support and challenge each other to grow and deepen leadership capability.
It was wonderful to see highly energised and motivated participants leaving the room at the end of each workshop and to see members of the group meeting up for coffee between workshops. The delivery of the programme by Maeve & Alibhe was excellent. Extremely professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of leadership, both were extremely engaging. In fact the programme was so good we have a waiting list for the next roll out which will commence later this year. I can highly recommend this programme.
Peter Murphy
Mater Misericordiae University Hospital
In my capacity as Training, Education and Development Manager with the Mater, I worked with Harmonics in developing a ‘Strategic Career & Management Development Coaching Programme’ for Senior Managers.
Harmonics approached the programme in a passionate and flexible manner. They challenged at individual and group level while never undermining ones values or beliefs. They instilled a sense of teamwork while exploring each individual’s uniqueness, values and skill sets. Importantly they developed an environment which supported the personal emotions which surfaced.
A key aspect of the programme was the one on one coaching. The success of this element was directly attributable to the quality of the coaches and the professionalism they exhibited. Each participant benefited from the genuine interest in their personal and professional development, as displayed in each coaching session.
Words I would choose to sum up Harmonics would be: Professional, Challenging, Passionate, Flexible and Focused.

Thanks for meeting with Kathleen and myself on Tuesday last. It’s great to get expert advice in this area rather than plodding along ourselves as we have been for many years

Thanks so much for that information. You certainly lived up to your reputation. The good thing is that I felt that I understood it. I must say that I was very happy with your plan to keep in touch down the road as there are a lot of variables in the medium term so your continued advice will be good.
