Description
Our Multinational Healthcare Client has a requirement for Controls Engineer for a shift based role.
Duties:
- Providing systems support on all automated systems, including, but not limited to:PLC controls, E-batch system, RF network, Robot systems, Vision systems etc.
- All production related computers, networks and peripheral equipment.
- Research, analyse, document, recreate and resolve technical issues.
- Design and implement machine and equipment improvements on existing equipment.
- Assist maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and problem solve the day-to-day technical production issues.
- Drive process improvement through the utilisation of leading edge technology.
- Manage spares inventory for automation group.
- Participate in the mechanical and electrical maintenance of processes and equipment when required.
- Manage root cause determination & implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Develop and maintain detailed control system and troubleshooting documentation.
- Develop and review project specification and validation documents in line with the GAMP project life cycle.
- Liase with Engineering and maintenance in the efficient and effective handover of projects and automation installations to ensure all specifications are achieved.
- Change control and configuration in compliance with site and regulatory standards including GAMP 4 and 21CFRPart11.
- Preparation and reviewing of URS,FDS,IQ,OQ,PQ and other Computer Systems Validation Documentation
Education/Experience:
- Have a good Instrumentation and Process Controls background with experience in PLC programming especially but not limited to Allen Bradley.
- Diploma/Degree in electronics, automation, mechanical engineering desirable.
- 2+ years experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
- Be mechanically experienced and have a strong understanding of pnuematics, production processes and mechanics.
- Have PC, software and networking experience.
- Systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
- An understanding of Validation procedures and methodologies.
- This position may involve shift work.
