New RTE TV Series - 16th May @ 9.30pm - Rising after Redundancy
John has just finished filming an observational documentary series for RTE Television where he career coaches 6 unemployed people over a six month period. The programme “Rising after Redundancy” will air on the 16th May at 9.30pm and will be shown on RTE One as a 6 week series. John feels this programme will show the viewing Irish public, there is hope for those unemployed in the country at present. The series will profile Harmonics radically different and unique approach to change career direction. The series is a fly on the wall documentary and will follow the programme participants as they undertake this 6 month project from August 2009 to Feb 2010. John's view is that alot of people unemployed are looking for an instant quick fix which inevitably leads people right back to where they started. This series will show that career change is not an instant quick fix and needs huge determination through the ups and downs to succeed in pursuing your dream career.
John’s company Harmonics work with corporate clients such as O2, Musgrave, Superquinn, Danone, Tyco and Carphone Warehouse when they make people redundant. John’s has written “Managing Your own Career” and “Self Marketing for Success” which are used by participants on Harmonics ‘Career Transition Programmes’. John is a passionate public speaker and his work on career change is regularly featured in the media and he has contributed to The Tubridy Show, The Pat Kenny Show, Matt Coopers Show “The Last Word” and Gareth O Callaghan on 4 FM.
