Gillian Dowling

Gillian is a highly trained and experienced talent development professional focused on delivering business performance outcomes through employee engagement, growth and development.

She is passionate about learning and development and brings a wealth of knowledge and a depth of FMCG experience having worked in Diageo the world leading premium drinks company for the last decade. She has held a variety of roles including HR Business Partner, Learning and Development Manager, Graduate Recruitment Manager, and Global Talent Development Coaching and Performance Management Specialist. Prior to this Gillian worked at third level as a Lecturer in Marketing and Business Studies.

She has significant experience operating in a Supply manufacturing environment and has embedded key talent management processes by building functional and leadership capability, and building teams to drive the cultural change agenda at an individual and organisational level.

She is an experienced lead facilitator on leading edge training programmes including High Performance Coaching, High Performance teams, Change management, Managing Inclusively and Ken Blanchard’s Situational Leadership model.

She has an in-depth knowledge of coaching and has designed and delivered world leading blended learning interventions. Gillian has delivered Train the Trainer programmes to people managers and senior leaders worldwide including United Kingdom, North America, Africa, Australia and Russia.

She holds a Masters in Human Resource Management from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. She is trained and experienced in the use of psychometrics including SHL aptitude tests, Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Fundamental Interpersonal Relationship Orientation – Behaviour (FIRO-B). Gillian has an Advanced Diploma in Personal and Executive Coaching which is accredited by the European Coaching Institute (ECI) and which has received the quality assurance award from the European Coaching and Mentoring Council (EMCC). She has a National University of Ireland Certificate in Adult Guidance and Career Coaching. She is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and is a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD).
