Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to H& S protocols in line with organisational permits and licensing requirements.
- Actively liaise with local governance bodies and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
- Oversee and streamline incident reporting mechanisms, guaranteeing swift communication both internally and with relevant external bodies such as the Health & Safety Authority, and insurers.
- Produce and deliver systematic compliance assessments.
- Conduct regular audits, safety checks, and environmental assessments to uphold quality standards.
- Facilitate and manage the logistics for external training workshops as required.
- Encourage open dialogue between leadership and staff pertaining to all safety matters.
- Continuously evaluate and refine organisational safety protocols and risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide robust support to the management team via effective communication pathways.
- Maintain and organize comprehensive documentation and records with precision.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong and focused hands-on experience in Health and Safety management and compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO standards.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong focus on organisational details.
- Adept at crafting environmental reports and interfacing with regulatory entities.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable Health and safety Role.
- Demonstrable success in managing Health and Safety compliance and regulatory adherence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
- Possession of additional certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO Lead Auditor will be considered favourably.
