Overall Responsibility
The facilities leader is responsible for the management of Company facilities and for co-ordinating the physical workplace with the work of the organisation and its employees.
Maintenance of Buildings and grounds (landscaping, perimeter, car park, etc.)
Management of Building services (Water, Gas, Electricity, Heating, Waste, etc.)
Project manage and lead Facility upgrade projects (production re-layouts, offices/canteen/shared areas, etc.)
Equipment life cycle management and replacement planning (Machines, transformers, compressors, etc.)
Ownership for facility 6S & TPM standards (also internal shared areas).
Lead Energy management & Sustainability initiatives in conjunction with EH&S
Waste Stream Management.
Develop and manage system for spare parts control (equipment and facility).
Management of Annual Facility Maintenance Scheduling and follow-up actions – Facilities.
Review and upgrade of Building Management System (BMS)
Managing relevant budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
Overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishments
Work closely with the Technical Services Leader.
Person Specification
Proven record and experience of facility management with strong technical aptitude
Technical qualification strongly desired in relevant discipline (Electrical/Mechanical).
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and IOT an advantage..
Proven record in project management.
Strong knowledge of IT packages
Logical approach to problem solving (Analytical and problem-solving skills)
Ability to work in a demanding environment.
Organisation, time management, prioritising and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload
Good interpersonal skills required. Team player, with ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Ability to multi-task, working to deadlines.
Must be flexible to work on shift working patterns.
Must be available to take calls outside working hours and attend call outs.
