Our client, a leading Life Sciences company based in Clare has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Biochemist to join their team.
The Manufacturing Biochemist is responsible for the safe and efficient manufacture of Conjugate concentrates, an essential component of the IA and BV Immunoassay Reagent kits.
This position is part of the Blood Virus/Immunoassay team located in Co. Clare and this position is on-site. You will be a part of the Blood Virus/Immunoassay team and report to the Formulation Supervisor.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Manufacture Conjugates in compliance with GMP and SOP’s
Be involved in dialysis of proteins and small molecules, diafiltration of proteins & column pouring and calibration
Be responsible for equipment maintenance and monitors equipment performance, trouble shoots and escalates any issues
Be responsible for conjugation equipment AKTA, UPLC and TFF’s
Carry out in process analyser testing of conjugates and co-ordinate with various functional groups to trouble shoot process
Actively lead in process improvements in the conjugation area
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Science or related discipline with a minimum of 2 years in a Manufacturing Laboratory environment
Knowledge of GMP and safety
