Our client, an Aviation Industry leader, has a vacancy for a Quality Coordinator to join the team.
The role is based in Celbridge Kildare, commutable from Dublin.
The Operations Support Engineer is responsible for supporting and developing our business processes and systems to increase operational efficiencies and enhance customer experiences. In this role you will facilitate the implementation Lean, utilising digital solutions where possible, and supporting the development of our Continuous Improvement culture. You will also provide local IT support to colleagues, act as Local Information Security Officer and on IT support and Information Security management.
Job Description
- Analysing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement in quality and efficiencies
- Leading CI projects to improve Turn-Around-Time and On-Time-Performance for In-Station and In-Field events
- Working with Operations and Customer Service to improve cost efficiencies
- Developing digital solutions for KPI measurement and reporting
- Eliminating waste and manual process through digitalisation
- Working with Quality to improve the robustness of our processes and implementing “Mistake Proofing” preventative action solutions
- Specifying & supporting the procurement and commissioning of ICT equipment and digital solutions
- Providing technical support to trouble shoot local ICT problems and supporting the on-boarding of new employees with ICT issues
- Supporting the development of “One Production” across the MES global network to optimize production systems and the deployment of resources
- Liaising with other MES Network sites to standardize process optimization across the network
- Implementing and maintaining the Information Security Management System to comply with the ISO27001 standard
- Acting as the Local Information Security Officer for MES Dublin and liaising with the Business Information Security Officer for Lufthansa Technik Business Segment Engines
- Providing support on projects as required by the Operations or Repair Station Manager
Person Specification
Qualifications / Skills
- Degree in Technology and / or Business
- Post graduate studies in Lean & 6 Sigma
- Strong IT & Digital skills
- Ability to understand complex processes involving multiple disciplines
- Strong analytical / problem solving skills in a team environment
- Disciplined structure approach to defining / qualifying process stability
- Competent communication & report writing skills
- Ability to work on own initiative with strong team working and interpersonal skills
- Results orientate and ability to work on own initiative
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working Continuous Improvement role
- Application of digitalisation to improve business processes
- Proven track record in problem solving in complex environment
- Project Management experience
Flexibility
- Availability to provide technical support outside normal hours
- Availability for business travel as required
