We are currently looking for highly motivated experienced Payroll Clerk/Accounts Payable Assistant with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. This role will report into the Senior Financial Accountant and will hold the responsibility for key administration tasks within the Finance Team.
Specific Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Processing weekly payroll in a timely and efficient manner
Liaising with HR to make sure that all employees are on the correct allowances
Dealing with all queries that may arise with weekly payroll
Keeping up to date on all payroll criteria both internally and externally i.e. attending courses on payroll, reporting to the finance team on the latest developments
Matching Invoices to PO’s receipted into the system by stores
Processing manual invoices not receipted into the system.
Dealing with general queries and liaising with Purchasing to sort out price and quantity queries on invoices
Making sure all internal control procedures are adhered to
Other ad hoc duties as required
General Duties
Overseeing and paying of all Duty Travel expenses
Process and auditing the weekly stock cycle count and reporting any spikes that may arise.
Person Specification
- 5 years + in a similar role and environment
Having an accountancy qualification would be an advantage i.e. AAT
Excellent communication skills
Strong Computer Literacy and System Understanding
Good organisational and administrative skills
Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of payroll
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines while producing work of a high standard
Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment
Ability to engage in teamwork and prioritise workload effectively
