Our client is a privately owned innovative Irish energy group based in County Limerick, Ireland. Our group comprises a highly skilled team members with significant experience in the development and operation of renewable energy projects.
The successful candidate will be a key member of our Renewable Energy Development team. They will be responsible for all aspects of public relations, including liaising with local communities, landowners and local representatives across the renewable projects and managing all external messaging in relation to the company.
The Role
- Develop PR campaigns and media relations strategies
- Collaborate with internal team and maintain open communication with senior management
- Edit and update promotional material and publications
- Prepare and distribute press releases
- Organise PR events (e.g., community consultation) and serve as the company’s spokesperson
- Address inquiries from the media and other parties
- Track media coverage and follow industry trends
- Prepare and submit PR reports
- Manage PR issues
- Participate in project meetings etc.
- Examine and implement best practice in relation to community engagement techniques.
Maintain familiarity with community engagement activities being carried in the renewable industry.
Background and Qualifications
- Relevant 3rd level qualification in an area such as communications, marketing and PR.
- Must have a full clean driving license.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven ability of managing complex situations involving a diverse range of stakeholders including elected representatives and the media.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrable track records of building strong working relationships with high profile stakeholders.
High level of communication skills including effective networking and presentation skills, and the ability to make complex information understandable to a diverse range of stakeholders.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge and understanding of renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge and experience of engaging with key stakeholders.
- Excellent listening skills and confidence in talking to people both in groups and on a one-to-one basis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and solution-driven problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
This role can be remote/ Hybrid , maximum two days in the office , depending on the needs of the business
