Our client a leader in the aviation industry is seeking a Material Program Team Leader to join their dynamic team.
The Material Program Leader will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team to ensure they provide high-quality service to meet set goals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a strong part sales & part purchasing background, and the ability to drive performance and achieve team goals.
Working hours: 8.30 – 5.00pm mon – thurs, 8.30-4.00pm fri
Hybrid work available after 6 months
Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and support the USM (Used Service Material) materials team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Report out to Commercial Manager on Programs Performances.
- Manage Purchasing, Sales and Stock of material.
- Support on identification of opportunities with new products.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve programs to help create new revenue streams.
- Ensure close communication with Stakeholders in the company (e.g. quality, finance, operations) and globally (Sales and Fulfilment)
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the team and the solutions provided.
- Roll out Materials program strategy to optimise growth.
Person Specification
The candidate should essentially fulfill the following requirements:
- Third level education in Business, Management, or related field.
- Knowledge of MRO business.
- 5+ years in a material trading position.
- Entrepreneurial outlook.
- Ability to travel and attend Trade Shows.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle escalated issues with professionalism and tact.
- Proficient in using MS Office & ERP software.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to Drive Improvements & Revenue Streams.
- Ability to work & make decisions in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
